Consent Preferences: Wideview respects and honors customer consent preferences and implements mechanisms to ensure that their decisions regarding the processing of their personal data are respected and honored.
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide. When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.
Types of Personal Data: Wideview processes the following types of personal data provided by merchants for analytics purposes:
Client ID: To uniquely identify merchants and associate their activities within the App.
Address: To facilitate data analysis, including geographical insights and trends.
Email: To communicate important updates, information, and service-related notifications.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our App
- Improve, personalize, and expand our App
- Understand and analyze how you use our App
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service,
to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and
- promotional purposes
- Send you emails
- Find and prevent fraud
Information Sharing and Disclosure:
Wideview will clearly communicate to merchants the types of personal data processed and the reasons behind such processing. This information will be provided at the point of data collection and through the App's privacy settings or documentation.
Wideview may engage trusted third-party service providers to perform various functions necessary for the operation and improvement of the App. These service providers may have access to personal data solely for the purpose of performing their functions and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of the data.
Wideview may disclose personal data if required to do so by law, or if it believes in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect and defend its rights or property, detect and prevent fraud, or act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users or the public.
Wideview retains personal data processed through the App for a period of five years, unless otherwise specified by applicable laws or regulations. After this retention period, Wideview will securely delete or anonymize the data, except where its further retention is necessary for legitimate business purposes or legal obligations.
Wideview employs reasonable security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and Wideview cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Information: Wideview does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that your child has provided personal information on the App, please contact us immediately, and we will make our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
Wideview follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, Wideview uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
